Job Summary
The Regional Sales Director is responsible for driving revenue growth for Buildings IOT, a technology company serving buildings of all types. This position is focused on the southeastern U.S. broadly. Ideal candidates will have existing relationships within the commercial real estate space (CRE owners, operators, mechanical service contractors, consulting engineers) nationwide. The Regional Sales Director is first and foremost a hunter, and eager to engage prospects and drive the sales process.
Responsibilities
- Create and build sales relationships with clients.
- Own relationships from prospecting through sale and delivery of offerings.
- Maintain existing SaaS clients and maximize renewals
- Plan and forecast sales revenue, deliver accurate forecasts, and manage pipeline in HubSpot
- Drive sales activities for your market segment including specific account targeting, leading product demonstrations, generating proposals, and closing new businesses
- Provide key voice of customer inputs: including market intelligence, product and service feedback, and market trends
- Act as a Team player and collaborator with multiple divisions in the organization.
Education and Experience
- 5+ years of sales experience and ideally 2+ years of commercial buildings / smart buildings experience
- Experience driving sales at rapidly growing companies with a track record of delivering significant growth with software-based solutions
- Ability to quickly form external relationships
- Bachelor's degree– preference in business, mechanical engineering and other relevant courses of study.
- Experience in selling B2B SaaS solution – ideally in/around the built environment
- Entrepreneurial spirit and integrity are necessary to be successful in this role
